Is it Time for In-Person Gaming Again?

Now that most of us have become vaccinated and we are getting out more, the mask mandate for vaccinated people has been dropped, is it time for us to get together again? maybe more tables and a little distancing? I think, WE SHOULD TRY!

How about this Friday, June 4th. I will post an event on the website (you know, Events – New River Tabletop Gamers (nrvtabletop.com). PLEASE reserve a spot, with us being vaccinated, I feel confident in a smaller group but still not ready for a huge group.

As usual, if you are not vaccinated, our preference is to mask up. If you are not or have not been feeling well, please stay home and get better. We will start making this more regular this summer but we gotta be smart about it. Missing a session or 2 when sick is for the benefit of the whole group.

I will create an event with 5 open slots, you must reserve the number of slots your party will bring. Please ensure to reserve and not just come, we want to make the events fun but allow those that want to socially distance have that opportunity.

Thanks for helping to make this a fun in-person event!

Lots of Fun Friday Night

A few players got together on Friday and played No thanks and Can’t Stop. Tabletop Simulator worked great for these games and everyone had a fantastic time! Using Discord, whether on the PC/Mac or on your phone really helps with the fun as we encouraged and sometimes taunted the other players.

Join us on Fridays at 7:00 pm for our COVID virtual board game nights!

We may extend virtual board game to our “off” Fridays once the stay at home order is lifted so we can have game night every week, one week in person, one week virtual. Let us know what you think about that.

Weekly Quarantine Game Night

Starting this week, we are organizing weekly Friday night TTD (Tabletop Simulator) game nights! They start at 7 PM, meet on the NRV Tabletop Gamers Discord channel, we will decide what to play then, just like our normal game nights!

Last week, we played Red Dragon Inn and it was a blast! We learned so many new shortcuts like holding down the ALT button to enlarge whatever you are pointing at.

Get on your computer and come and join us! Tabletop Simulator is available on Steam for Mac, PC and Linux for $20. Well worth it to get together with your gaming buds once a week! Unfortunately, tablets and phones are not supported. If you can’t find the Discord channel, send us an email with your discord name and #number and we’ll send you an invite!
