Discussion series #1 - What was your first nerdy boardgame?

Many folks play family boardgames as kids. Monopoly, battleship, crazy 8's, etc. but it is usually a super memorable event when you learn about the more complex, nerdy games and all their fun variations.
What was your first experience that got you into more serious tabletop gaming?
For me, it was King of Tokyo. I loved party games, but I never enjoyed the other tabletop offerings until playing that. Then it was a whirlwind of Tsuro, Voluspa, Fluxx, and all many more. Couldn't get enough after that.

I think it was either Agricola or Dominion. Not complicated games but that's where I started >_<Â
