What is on the table for 7/29?
Quote from Paul K (Admin) on July 29, 2022, 10:51 amWith only a few responses, looks like we are looking at one or two games. Gaia Project and/or Wingspan. Have you played either of these games? Both are engine builder/resource management games and both play in under 2 hours.
I enjoy Wingspan because, well, it's beautiful game with quality components and play mechanics that are both smooth and exceptionally satisfying. How can you go wrong with collecting birds, feeding them and collecting their eggs. If you have never tried it, you will love it!
As for Gaia Project, this is right in my wheelhouse, It looks very busy but is actually pretty simple and it is asymmetrical (all the races are different and have different mechanics. You expand and grow in the galaxy without having direct conflict with your neighboring races, so, not quite cooperative but not galactic war. You have to manage resources as well as your technology tree, your building as well as your planet terraforming expansion. Their are different victory point goals each turn with a final scoring round, just like Wingspan.
Here are a few pictures of the two games, hope to see you tonight!
And Gaia Project
